      Welcome to my page. I have set-up this site in an effort to give newly organized members of the IBEW a place to go for information about the IBEW. All information on these pages came from questions I have had as well as those of other organized members that I have come in contact with. I hope that whether you are an organized member or have come up through the apprenticeship, that you will find the information helpful.

      Whether you were organized or went through the apprenticeship, your knowledge of the history of the IBEW is important. To help us all remember the history of the IBEW, I have a quiz section. Take it and test your knowledge. You will be told right away if your answer is right or wrong.

      My name is Mike Ryan and I am a JW and a member of IBEW L.U. 34, Peoria, Illinois. I was organized in 1997, by IBEW Local 34, after working for non-union shops in Illinois and Texas. I have worked out of a service truck, run jobs ranging up to $1.4 million dollars but have been a regular hand most of my career and plan to be for the rest of it. I enjoy the trade and meeting new challenges. I have not met a co-worker I could not get along with.

This site was built in the USA with Union labor. Mainly mine, but with help from some good brothers!
